The township board has been working on mapping the cemetery. Known gravesites are obvious with headstones marking their location.
There are, however, unmarked graves that were located using ground penetrating radar. Approximately 50 unmarked graves were located, and we plan to put ground-level markers at each site.
The cemetery was also surveyed, and the east boundary is approximately 15 feet farther east than originally thought.
